A public meeting will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, at the Nienhuis Park Community Center conference room, 3201 N. 9th St., at 6 p.m. to discuss the proposed upgrade of Albany Street from a 3-lane road to a 5-lane road.
The project area runs along Albany from 9th Street through the 23rd Street intersection, with two lanes in each direction and a center turn lane.
Also included is the addition of a 4-way traffic signal system at the 12th Street intersection. The City of Broken Arrow has obtained the services of the engineering consulting firm Holloway, Updike & Bellen to prepare the construction plans.
Final plans for the roadway improvements will be available for viewing at the public meeting. Representatives from the city of Broken Arrow and the engineering consulting firm will be present to discuss the proposed project, obtain any feedback, and answer questions regarding the project.

An environmental consultant will present the results of the environmental studies and will receive public comments. A city representative will be in attendance to provide English-to-Spanish translation of the presentation.
