Organizers formally announced Tuesday that Scotfest, the annual celebration of Celtic culture in Oklahoma, will be hosted at Central Park in downtown Broken Arrow for its 44th year.
Due to ongoing construction at the Broken Arrow Events Park for the Sunset Amphitheater, Scotfest organizers discussed the situation with the city in hopes of keeping this year’s festival in Broken Arrow.
“We are thrilled to bring Scotfest to Central Park this year,” said Steve Campbell, executive director of ScotFest in a statement. “With the entire 27-acre park at our disposal, we plan to deliver an unforgettable experience filled with music, dance, Highland Games, and, of course, delicious Celtic fare.”
Scotfest has become a signature event for Broken Arrow, drawing tens of thousands of attendees yearly to celebrate Scottish, Irish, and Celtic heritage. City officials expressed their commitment to maintaining this tradition in the community.
“Scotfest has been a cornerstone of Broken Arrow’s cultural calendar since its inception,” said Broken Arrow City Manager Michael Spurgeon. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Scotfest organizers and ensure that this year’s event retains all the excitement and authenticity our residents have come to expect.”
Scheduled for September 13-15, organizers say Scotfest 2024 promises to deliver the complete festival experience with thrilling entertainment, exhilarating competitions and tempting culinary delights. Tickets are already on sale, and VIP and whisky-tasting experiences will again be in high demand.
“We have worked diligently with the city and our sponsors to guarantee a seamless transition to Central Park,” Campbell says. “The Scotfest team is dedicated to making this year’s event a resounding success for everyone involved, and we encourage attendees to secure their tickets early to avoid missing out on the festivities.”
