Officials announced Thursday that The Club at Forest Ridge has been selected as a host site for the 2026 PGA Q-School, presented by the Korn Ferry Tour.
“We’ll welcome some of the game’s most talented professionals as they compete for the opportunity to advance on the road to the PGA Tour,” the club announced on its Facebook page.
“This is an exciting milestone for our club and a testament to the exceptional course conditions and experience our team works hard to deliver every day.”
The event takes place from Sept. 28 through Oct. 2, with practice rounds taking place Sept. 28-29.
“Members are invited to come out and enjoy the action as these incredible athletes take on Forest Ridge,” Forest Ridge said in the post. “We look forward to showcasing our course and hospitality on a national stage.”
The news comes as The Club at Forest Ridge begins to transition to a fully private club in November, which will end the club’s longtime status as a top daily fee course in the state.
Bobby Jones Links, a boutique golf management company based in suburban Atlanta, announced last May that it was managing the club, which opened in 1989 on land that was once a working cattle ranch owned by L.S. Robson, grandfather of the club’s developer and founder, the late Joe Robson.
The Club at Forest Ridge has an 18-hole, Randy Heckenkemper-designed championship golf course, as well as two clubhouses, Southern style dining, and a private social club called The Ridge Club featuring a fitness facility, resort-style pool, tennis courts, pickleball and newly opened indoor climate-controlled racquets dome.
