The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck Oklahoma Monday.
The USGS says the quake epicenter was 4.3 miles northwest of Medford, Okla., around 11:10 a.m. Many of the reports to the USGS centered around Enid and the light shaking was reported from Wichita to Tulsa to Enid to Norman.
The reported depth of the quake was 4.9 miles underground. There was no immediate word of any damage.
According to USGS data, several smaller tremors were reported late Sunday and early Monday morning as southeast of Chickasha — one of them having a magnitude of 2.2 — and south of Yukon.
