The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released the identities of two people killed late Friday in a wrong-way driving accident.
OHP said the collision happened at 11:44 p.m. in the westbound car lanes of Interstate 244 just east of Greenwood Ave.
Elizabeth Brown, 47, of Tulsa and her passenger, 43-year-old Rhonda Mammedaty, were pronounced dead after the accident. Brown was driving a 2000 Honda Accord.
A second vehicle involved was a 2007 Chevy Tahoe driven by Sean Williams, 44, of Tulsa. He was transported to St John’s Hospital by EMSA and was admitted in guarded condition with leg injuries.
Robert Meller, 42, of Tulsa was driving a third vehicle involved in the accident, a 2012 Ford F150. He was not injured.
OHP said the cause of the accident was a wrong-way driver but the investigation is still ongoing
