A person who was shot during an altercation at Woodland Hills Mall has died and Tulsa police are searching for the suspect.
The victim was identified as 21-year-old Kierstan “KJ” Love. Tulsa police said they responded to multiple calls about a shooting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and found Love on the ground with a gunshot wound outside the northwest entrance to the mall.
Love was rushed to the hospital and died from his injuries just before 11 p.m. Through the investigation, detectives learned the incident started with some sort of altercation inside the mall. That led to the victim and the male suspect fighting outside the mall entrance, police said.
During the fight, a male suspect pulled out a gun and shot Love, then fled.
