The Broken Arrow Police Department said they’ve arrested a suspect after a shooting incident that occurred Friday morning on the city’s south side.
At 7:51 a.m. officers responded to a reported shooting following an attempted vehicle break-in near Tucson Street and County Line Road.
A white male who was suspected of the attempted crime shot a person who confronted him. The suspect, wearing blue jeans and a gray hoodie, fled the area in a silver sedan.
Around 3 p.m. police said the suspect was in custody. The victim was listed in stable condition at a local hospital. Police said more information would be released as it becomes available.
“We understand the concern this incident caused within our community,” the department said in a statement. “Officers responded quickly, followed investigative leads and worked diligently to locate the suspect. We appreciate the patience and cooperation shown by our residents throughout the response.”
