A change to the executive management team at The First National Bank and Trust Company of Broken Arrow has been announced by Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Gregory S. Graham.
Derek Steeley, a 12-year veteran of the First National Bank of Broken Arrow, has been promoted to President and has been elected to the institution’s Board of Directors.
A native of Wagoner, Steeley’s resume includes an array of accomplishments at financial institutions in Oklahoma and Texas over a 30-year span. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Steeley also completed the Graduate School of Banking at LSU in 2022 and earned the Chartered Banking Professional designation in 2023.
Steeley serves on the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and is a graduate of Leadership Broken Arrow’s 2013 class. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Broken Arrow, has previously served on the Broken Arrow Seniors board, and has held various leadership positions with Broken Arrow’s Trail Life Troop 316.
Derek and his wife Valerie have three grown children and attend Journey Bible Church.
Graham said Steeley’s most recent promotion is a reflection of the Bank’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of customer service.
“Derek has distinguished himself in a variety of positions over the past 12 years and I have every confidence he will extend his heritage of expertise and commitment in his new position as our President,” Graham said.
First National opened its doors in 1902 in what is now downtown Broken Arrow. In 122 years of providing trusted banking services to the community, only four chairmen have headed the institution. First National has two full-service locations in Broken Arrow, employs 40 people and is the oldest family-owned bank originated in Tulsa County.
