The Tulsa Police Department is still investigating a fatal shooting incident early Sunday at the Center of the Universe downtown.
Tulsa police responded to reports of shots fired at 2:55 a.m. around 1 S. Boston Ave. where several young adults were hanging out.
At this time, police believe an altercation took place between 2 groups of people and as one of the groups took off in a car, the other group fired several rounds at them.
Several rounds struck One Williams Center building at the intersection of 1st Street and Boston Avenue, police said.
While one group was trying to drive away, an 18-year-old passenger in the car was struck by the gunfire and she was rushed to a hospital, but she died later in the morning.
