Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth paid tribute to her hometown of Broken Arrow this week as part of the Honor Your Hometown series.
Wearing a pink sweatshirt adorned with the words “Brilliant,” Chenoweth said the word described Broken Arrow as she extolled the quality of life that is possible here with good food, Friday night football and the opportunity to make good friends like those she made who are still her in her life today.
She is a 1986 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center now bears her name.
‘We have red dirt, but we have good ice cream’ Chenoweth quipped in her YouTube video.
In 2015, Chenoweth launched the annual Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Bootcamp in partnership with the Center to provide students with immersive performance training taught by Broadway, film, and stage industry professionals.
